Can I get good at snowboarding?

I am currently 14. I will be 15 in august this summer and I am getting a snowboard. I wanted to start this year but my parents won't take me to places in my area were I can learn and such. So I am getting a snowboard and they will take me because they're paying aprox $900 dollars for all the equipment. Knowing that I'm going to be able to start doing it it makes me feel really motivated to get really good and build muscel and flexibility. I have always wanted to learn since I was about 5 or 6. I also feel like times running out like I could never go pro unless I am some kind of prodigy. I tried it when I was younger once or twice I really like the sport but as a young kid my parents never really looked into getting someone to teach me. lol I would really appreciate any answers and tips you might have.
