Can anyone name computer game where you have to overtake enemy's territory?

It's not some kind of new generation game, it's very simple, but catchy. All I can remember is that you had to play against real opponents, you had to overtake the field of enemy's city, or something like that. Graphics weren't cool, its just a green field with different colours for different territories.
