Are my sperrys' ruined?

I just got a pair of sperrys' a couple days ago. They are leather, so I picked up the Meltonian Water and Stain repellent for suede and leather in order too keep them looking new. I put the repellent on today around 3:30 p.m. and it has dried for the most part, but there are a few "stains" or watermarks that the repellent has left on the shoe. Will those marks go away over the next few hours or did I ruin the shoe?
